hi there i want a WORKPLACE HEALTH AND SAFETY POLICY STATEMENT i have a company i need this statement for it here is what i am doing so far so i need your help with it ASAP fahadjet SAFETY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM a) What significant safety risks the company is facing, and how might they go about managing those risks. Fatigued crew on the ?back of the clock? flight from Perth to Sydney – operate 3 pilot flight crew on sector in order to comply with duty time limitations. Rotate 2 crews 3 days on, 3 days off with the last day of the week not operating that segment. Captain and F/O can operate this schedule 46 weeks in a year. S/O can operate year-round. Need at least two crews per week, but at least three crews per year. Probably a good idea to have more for redundancy, holidays, etc. Large numbers of new flight and cabin crew entering the company – ensure new crews are well trained in the company procedures. Things that could be included: Rule of unintended consequences; changing any SOPs could have unforeseen outcomes. Increase in actual numbers of operations will most likely increase number of safety events, normal as long as percentages don?t go up. Probably need to increase size and/or scope of training and checking system Will new training systems be created or existing systems utilised? Beginning operations in to Perth – ensure pilots are familiar with the aerodrome and the procedures and any enroute requirements. Actually a requirement of RPT ops that pilots are familiar with ADs and routes they will fly to. SOPs to be developed for Perth? Risk matrix for Perth ops? Segregate Perth/non-Perth crews as Perth flights must be 3 pilot ops. b) What general safety management processes (not necessarily specifically related to the operational change) should the organisation consider implementing/strengthening in order to improve their SMS. Begin more in depth flight data analysis in order to identify any recurring errors or undesired aircraft states before they impact the safety of operations.
