Reflection Paper (ethical and legal issue)

Assignment Requirements

Develop your own definition of forgiveness. Does the definition set boundaries that limit when and how forgiveness should be offered? How can you choose to show forgiveness and release the negative emotions of a situation that has been holding you back as an ethical leader?
Read the supplemental article “Love, Forgiveness, and Trust: Critical Values of the Modern Leader” by Caldwell & Dixon (2009). Give an example of 3 business or organizational benefits of implementing those 3 values. In your opinion, what impact could be made in the workplace by adopting that philosophy in the workplace? As an ethical leader, give 2 examples of how you can instill the values of love, forgiveness and trust in your organization, business, family or community. What steps will you take to infuse these principles into your leadership journey?
Johnson discusses the shadow of leadership and the potential negative impact that the darkness could create. Obvious legal or ethical breaches within organizations guide our behavior to report to the appropriate channels. However, when the “darkness” is not a clear breach, how do you as a leader respond to the behavior?
