1.    Now that we are in the second half of the term, you should be able to apply the sociological perspective to social institutions.  To this end, I would like you to use information from the chapter on Crime & Deviance (chapter 7) AND information from any other chapter to suggest improvements in the criminal justice system. You are free to use material from any chapter you feel fits.  Please make sure you are explicit in your use of a course chapter other than the Crime & Deviance chapter. 

2.    The paper should be a minimum of 750 words of text with a word count listed.

3.    Points will be deducted for papers that are sloppily written and for those that are less than the required length.
