Attachment early in life is a critical part of having healthy relationships throughout the lifespan. So, review the following two links, and read and/or skim over the research related to Adult Attachment Interview (AAI), which is just one resource of many for exploring attachment history with our clients.

QUESTIONS:please review that questions contained within the AAI and consider what your answers would be if you were participating in the interview as the subject, not the interviewer.

What insights does the AAI give you about your early relationships with your primary caregivers?  How does this information frame aspects of your current relationships in respect to both strengths and challenges?  How does being exposed to the information in Chapter 4 of Broderick & Blewitt along with the AAI change your perspective on not only your relationships, but relationships you see around you?
