The date is July 4 at some point between the late 1790s and the 1820s. In constructing your imagined conversation draw from the lectures and from Christine Stansells City of Women. Be sure to incorporate some discussion of your daily activities as a wife and mother. (Stansells book will help you to do that.) You can decide whether your household is prosperous or impoverished.
