Have you ever attended a sporting event in which the first 5,000 fans were offered a souvenir figurine of one of the players, or special pricing for a particular group such as military veterans? Most likely, these special offerings were planned as part of the organization’s promotional mix that may include several other events throughout the main season. The promotional mix is an important part of marketing. In fact, it is one of the four main foundations of marketing, the four Ps, according to most experts: product, price, placement, and promotion. In designing a promotional mix, a sport organization works to target promotional efforts to the right groups at the right times of year to ensure revenue consistently.

In this Assignment, you will research and review a professional sports team’s promotional schedule and evaluate this aspect of the organization’s marketing strategy.
