Any topic (writer’s choice)

1. Think about how your life has gone in relation to Erikson’s stages of development (see website in Module 1 Resources and textbook Chapter 1 Section 2 Scientific Conceptions/Erikson’s Psychosocial Theory). Think about important events and talk to family members to help you chronicle the major milestones of your life. What were some things that impacted your development  in each of Erikson’s stages? For each stage you have completed up to now, do you believe that you have achieved mostly the positive outcome or mostly the negative outcome and why or why not? Write YOUR life story from the standpoint of Erikson’s developmental stages. (I don’t need you to explain Erikson’s stages to me; this is the story of how YOU personally have experienced the stages.) Your paper is confidential, thus you may write as deeply personal as you wish, or less so, as you are comfortable. Email me if you have ANY questions or problems; I WILL HELP YOU! If you wish to talk via phone, send an email asking me to call you including best phone number and time to call.

2. Make sure you have done all the following:

type at least 3 full pages NOT including cover page (no handwritten), double space, font size 12, standard 1″ margins
cover page includes name, PSYC 2314, section number which will be I01, I02 etc. (look on your schedule if you do not know), date and title (your choice)
write in essay form, using first person voice (this is not a research paper; it should be YOUR story using Erikson’s stages as the framework)
identify and name at least 4 specific Erikson stages as you discuss how YOU personally have experienced them (Name the stages like “trust vs. mistrust”, “intimacy vs. isolation”, etc., as you discuss each stage. This is very important and loses big points if you neglect to do this!)
submit via file upload and Vericite review no later than the stated due date & time in the Course Schedule page of the Start Here Module.
