Servant leadership focuses on the needs of others. These leaders help to nurture and grow their followers. It sometimes takes time for leaders to transition their focus from themselves to serving the needs of others.

Complete the Leaders Self-Insight 6.2 self-assessment (Attached) to determine how close you are to becoming a servant leader.

1.    Summarize the Essay by addressing the following:

2.    Give a brief synopsis of your score and interpretation of the self-assessment.

3.    Make sure to describe your leadership characteristics and explain how they align (or do not align if that is the case) to the four precepts presented in the Greenleaf model of servant leadership.

4.    Describe what you see as an area of strength and an area of improvement. Determine what characteristics you value the most.

5.    Put your leadership skills (your identified strengths and areas of improvement) into action.

6.    How can you apply what you have assessed in this unit to influence others and improve followers performance or outcomes?   

Guidelines to the Essay:

a.    The essay should begin with an introduction to the topic.
b.    Organization should be logical, clear, and appropriate.
c.    You should provide strong evidence of critical thinking.
d.    Essay should end with a conclusion statement to support your essay.

** The format of the submission should be in essay format using subheadings.

** Need two (2) peer-reviewed, academic sources no more than 5 years old minimum**

** The Essay should be 2 Full pages minimum not including Title page and Reference page**
