The Computer/Software engineering part of this project focused mainly on the control system of the Bart station and the various jobs required to maintain the control system. First we have the computer engineering guy” who specializes in supporting the development and maintaining computer-related equipments. While, at the same time, being able to design hard and software modifications based on data collection systems, such as the clipper card system. Overall, this role is to provide assistance to programmers and technical support for the computer systems within the Bart station.

The next role, which is crucial to maintain control in the Bart is the computer support coordinator. Their role is to develop and maintain communication throughout different Bart stations. They also must be able to design a system for communication and have a stable maintenance of the system they created. While being able to manage the communication within the Bart station, the support coordinator must also maintain the security systems and be able to know what the latest software is and upgrade to it. Communication is another important thing besides control, being able to communicate allows people within the Bart station to know what is going on. Being able to know what is going on, allows different jobs to deal with problems that may occur. To summarize, their job is to maintain communication and control the security system within the Bart station.

Finally, the computer operator must be able to monitor and maintain the system status. Overall, their job is just to monitor everything that is going on within the Bart station and make sure nothing goes wrong.
