Each paper should have two parts. The first part of your paper should be a brief (1/2-3/4 page) summary of the topic given, you should clearly demonstrate that you understand and have mastered the material. Be sure to clearly and explicitly define all terms and to cite your source(s) in APA format (note: whenever possible, cite the primary source). The rest of your paper should be a critical and thoughtful reaction to the material that demonstrates a deep level of curiosity, raises new and thought-provoking ideas, and challenges assumptions and conclusions. Some things you might consider in your paper are: Why is the topic you selected important? How does it relate to other content from this class and/or another class youve taken? How does it relate to your own personal experiences? What are the societal implications of the material? Remember, these are reaction papers: They should demonstrate that you understand and have critically thought about the content presented in lecture and/or the readings. Each paper should be 2-3 pages long (excluding title page and references), typed in 12-point Times New Roman font, double-spaced, use 1-inch margins on all sides, and adhere to the style guidelines set forth in the American Psychological Association (APA) edition style manual.
