position paper (film and literature class)
Paper instructions:
1000 words double-spaced and must be thesis-driven (in other words, no plot summaries or simple statements of opinion). I’m looking for clean, clear, formal prose with a definitive thesis supported by specific examples from the text(s). I repeat: These papers are NOT personal narratives, journalistic reviews or book reports. Position papers MUST address the literature and MAY ALSO address the film(s). Position papers MUST include MLA-formatted in-text citations as well as a final “works cited” page. Though only primary texts are necessary, secondary sources may be used if you wish.
