Client Centered Therapy and Basic Communication Skills

Readings

Use your textbook and the Capella University Library to complete the following:
• In Current Psychotherapies, read Chapter 4, "Client-Centered Therapy," on pages 95–150.
• In the Capella library, locate and read a peer reviewed empirical research article related to client-centered research.

Q1- Compare and Contrast Theories

Explain the similarities and differences between Client Centered Therapy and Psychodynamic Therapy. What are the strengths and weaknesses of each? Describe how the article you read supports the use of Client Centered Therapy.

Q2- Counseling Skills Practice

Briefly describe the mock therapy session you conducted. How well were you able to stick with and provide the basic counseling skills suggested? What worked well in the session? What difficulties or challenges did you have?
