Each week we will have a journal assignment. I’d like to give you a couple of tips. The first thing you will want to do is go to week 5 and read the final project assignment. The second thing you will want to do is choose two organizations, one for-profit and one not-for-profit. I would recommend picking organizations that will give you a lot of material to write about (hint: scandals usually involve ethical dilemmas). This is an ethics class and I often have students pick their favorite charities only to find out they cannot find enough to write about. I feel that the purpose of the journal is to force you to write a little bit each week so that you do not come into week 5 with an overwhelming project to complete. I would like you to use the organizations you have chosen in answering the prompt questions, when applicable. I understand that sometimes these questions do not apply to your organizations; but do the best that you can. I would recommend writing 1-2 pages each week. You may use the form provided; I will also accept a Word document. What I look for when I grade these assignments is a demonstration that you understand the material discussed throughout this course. I have included the Journal from week 1 and 2 so that you can continue with the same organizations needed to complete the final paper
