This assignment requires you to select a film, journal article, cartoon, book, or attend a lecture or event, with subject matter pertaining to the continent of Africa. The objective of the assignment is for you to report on your experience in the context of what you have learned about Africa. The assignment is intended to develop your ability to evaluate information that you hear and see and assess your ability to produce a written analysis in the context of Geography.

 You will write 1,000 original words on your selected article, movie, book, event or lecture in the context of the geographic subdisciplines. Do NOT quote large pieces of text from sources.  While you will want to include quoted material, these words are not original to you, and as such cannot be counted towards your requirement. You will define how or why you feel your selection is germane to Africa and Geography and you may be creative.
