This assignment concludes the investigations part of the course. It is focused on targeted violence which is outlined in chapter 23 of the text. The idea is to consider and address what is likely
to happen rather than what has happened. Investigative methods employed and countermeasure planning is based on the type of threat that exists and the relationship between the instigator
and potential target. That is, threat assessment investigations of targeted violence relies on a number of major principles that are opposite to the commonly held view that violence is
perpetrated by someone who has "snapped". Rather, the belief is that violence is often predictable and avoidable. With this information in mind:
