Question 2

Topic: Question 2

Order Description

We generally understand engineering and other technical vocations to be characterized by scientific/mathematical certainty. The practice of engineering, in other words, embodies knowledge from an Archimedean perspective that is presumed to exist outside cultural biases. For both (a) aerospace engineering in the U.S. Space Shuttle Program during the Challenger era; and (b) computer programming, explain at least one way in which culture defines what is considered proper€”and hence, ostensibly, purely technical€”practice.

Do not concern yourself here with the historical origins of these cultures. Focus entirely upon the content of these cultures and their consequences for practice.

No sources are needed. Please separate the answer in Part A and Part B
