Your campaign should promote a viral communication message and should be using the primary principles of direct marketing to œcall for action that is track able. While developing your strategy: a. Define the œposturing of your campaign in terms of œvoice that you are using Scott’s rules. b. Define the essence of messaging that Scott emphasizes. c. Be sure to consider what to do to handle the various segments to your marketplace and how will you find and define them. d. Stretch is worth extra credit: think about SEM while developing your strategy. e. How would you apply Godin’s permission marketing to your strategies II. [25 points] You are the marketing manager for the New York Yankees, NY Giants or The NY Mets or Nets. Your job is to sell tickets, seats. Various prices. You have 5 œPs to work with as the marketing manager. Your boss just told you that he heard about Maslowe’s theory of hierarchy of needs and loves the notion. He wants you to define a marketing strategy based on that theorem. You have two principle business areas to focus on: B2B and B2C, selling seats to businesses and selling seats to normal consumers. Develop a strategy that does that. The budget can be as large as you want it to be. Be sure to include the marketing messages that you would use at each stage. III. [10 points]Seth Godin’s concept of Permission marketing works to get a date and to sell products. You are the marketing manager responsible for continuing customer relationship marketing from beginning to end. Demonstrate how you would use this concept when applied to the Marketing or Sales Continuum discussed in class and on Blackboard. Be sure to define WII-FM and how Godin is able to satisfy the challenge. IV. [25 points]As the marketing manager for any of the above, you must have a solid base to make decisions about segments, motivators and media that is to be used. How would you define the market research plan to accomplish your task? Be sure to consider primary and secondary research, qualitative and quantitative research. Be sure to define these terms. What are the advantages of each as well as the concerns you would have with each.
