August 4, 2017Freckles (F) and six fingers (S) are dominant alleles in humans and the genes occur on different chromosomes. If an FfSs male and an FfSs female have a WHOLE BUNCH of kids, Here are the expected ratios below.
9: freckles/ 6 fingers
3: freckles/ no 6 fingers
3:no freckles/ 6 fingers
1: no freckles/ no 6 fingers
Question: If the P generation of this cross were FFSS and ffss, AND the gene for freckles and finger # were on the SAME chromosome, which of the phenotypes above should not show up in the F2 (assume no crossing over)?
