Summary & Response Instructions

For this essay you will look for connections between the three essays you summarized in Week 08.
1.In the introductory paragraph you will briefly introduce the topic of language learning and write a thesis statement that briefly summarizes the main connections you

found between the three articles.
2.After the introductory paragraph you will insert the three summaries as three separate paragraphs.
3.Then you will write two or three paragraphs in which you will describe the connections you found between the three articles (including quotes from the three

articles) and explain the deeper ideas that these connections make you think about.
4.Then you will write a concluding paragraph which includes only the main things that you want the person reading your essay to remember; in other words, what is the

wisdom to remember?
Do NOT use outside sources in this essay. You will ONLY use information from the three essays that you summarized AND your thoughts about the connections between them.
