In your journal, I hope you are writing about communications you are having with your friends, family, co-workers to practice the concepts from this class/ book/ assignments….. all to help you learn about your personal communication and improve on it. Your 6 year old son comes home from school crying: he says that his new teacher hates him and he hates her and that he doesn’t want to EVER go back to school. Instead of reacting with "What did you do wrong?" or some similar expression, you decide to use active listening. What are some of the ways you can do this???
