Think about the user interfaces of high-tech devices found in your home, office, or living environment (like a DVD player, microwave oven, television, copier, etc.). Pick one specific device and describe/discuss how well its user interface is designed and how easy it is to use. Does this device use the same techniques as computer system interfaces such as menus, icons, buttons, sliders, etc? List one gadget you have recently used or read about that did not exist 5 years ago? Describe its interface and compare it to that of Personal Computers.
