August 3, 2017s: 1) The team which successfully cloned Dolly, the sheep, has recently secured a license in England to clone human embryos. The stated purpose for such cloning is not to clone a human being, but to clone human embryos to provide a source of stem cells for research into such areas as spinal cord regeneration for victims of accidents. Should such cloning of human embryos be permitted in the U.S.? If so, who should regulate such activity? If not, how should it be prevented?
