• must demonstrate critical engagement with the readings and connections drawn between the course readings, but must also engage with at least 3 outside scholarly sources and at least 2 more popular sources (such as news media articles, videos, art, or organizational materials).  must have a total of 5 sources (but more are welcome).
• should be 1000-1200 words
