Each student is required to post and discuss a review of a current event ONCE during the semester. The current event must be related to

the course and should discuss an issue related to US sociology. The review MUST include a citation to the source of the current event

and be at least 150 words in length. The textbook Table of Contents is an excellent source for current event ideas. The current event is

worth 5% of the student’s grade. All students are encouraged to read current event postings and comment on them
