As you read the primary sources and analyze individually: Reflect on religious world views of this period.
People at the times of the Crusades had a life where religious belief was pervasive. In what ways do
these sources reveal such a religiously based outlook on life? How was occupation by armies bearing an
alien religion actually experienced?
This week, you only must write two posts. Your posts however will need to be at least 500 words long.
One post should be your own original post. The other should be a response, an intellectual engagement,
with one of your classmates. All posts should be 500 words long at least. These are minimum
requirements. One post should only focus on the discussion of one primary source per post only. This
will allow for a more in-depth discussion of each primary sources. It's okay to mention the other sources
if it's directly relevant, but the focus of the post should only be on one primary source.
