Develop a set of criteria to help you evaluate technological innovation.

Think about how we decide the value of the technologies available to us today and for those in the future?  Criteria simply means that you are establishing a set of questions or standards to use when deciding if the technology is of value.  You do this almost every day when making decisions about foods, movies, television, etc.  Now apply that process to technology.

You can develop criteria for a single technology, or you can write about evaluating current and future technologies in general. You are being asked to identify general criteria for how the value of technological innovation could be determined. Your paper should be approximately 750 words and should also include a Works Cited page at the end of your paper.

Include a brief paragraph that introduces your paper by telling what you are writing about in the paper and including a basic thesis statement.  Then as you move into the body of your paper, bring in your ideas and information that support your thesis. Finally, please do not forget to include an ending paragraph that includes your conclusions.

The paper should include at least two quotes or direct information references, making sure that you reference sources. One simple way you can do this is by putting the name of the source in parenthesis (  )  next to the quote or fact.  Remember when you are creating your Works Cited at the end of your paper you should include any sources you referenced within the paper.  Only your original words will be counted in the word total.  It does not include material quoted. Your Works Cited should only include sources that you actually use within your paper.

Three examples of how the Works Cited sources may be listed at the end of the paper:
A. Websites (include the name of the article, the author of the article, and the complete URL for the article).
B.  Books (include the name of the book, the author, and the page numbers used).
C.  Magazines or periodicals (include the name of the magazine or periodical, the author of the article within the magazine, and the author of the article).
