From notes in Norse Myths

In the back of your book, you will find scholarly notes to Myth 1.  Find at least one point of comparison with the mythology from another culture that the author makes. Cite it, and discuss it.

In Myth 7, discuss two points Crossley-Holland makes about Tyr and one point that he makes about Hel. Cite and discuss each point: how does this information shed light on the Norse myths?

In Myth 13, review Crossley-Holland’s notes on Freyja as a Valkyrie (chooser of the slain) in the third paragraph from the end (p.203 in my edition).  What does Crossley-Holland say about Freyja and magic with regard to her role as a Valkyrie? Discuss one point. Cite as needed.

In the notes to Myth 26,  what information does the author give us about Sigurd?  Discuss one point. Cite as needed.
In the notes to the last myth (Ragnarok), cite one point you find illuminating.  Discuss one point and consider how the information sheds light on the myth itself.
