Discussion: Power in the Workplace
Power is an interesting attribute to possess in an organization. It enables most individuals to accomplish what they want, or at least to get what they want. But is that focus on the needs of the individual serve the interests of everyone or just the one with power? Likewise, politics is a “game” that some have claimed is often played in the workplace, but like power, it has become more convoluted and diffuse given the move towards the remote workplace. In this discussion, we will analyze how the changing work environment has impacted organizational and individual power.
