Value of Literature

Essay 4 Instructions

Over the past few months, we’ve read poems, a play, short stories, and creative nonfiction. Choose at least two of the assigned works from this semester (see the Course Schedule for the list) and explain what insights, understanding, or empathy can be gained from reading them. What is the value of literature that deals with such topics or perspectives?

Use information from at least one secondary source from the databases to assist in your analysis and at least one of the TED Talks to support your argument.
