Substance: No historical narrative. No use of first or second person (No I or You). No arguments for which you cannot present evidence. Page limit does not include figures, appendices, data or bibliographic material.

Introduction- with thesis sentence/ question setting up the paper (1-1/.5 pages)
Historical background (if necessary) 1-1.5 pages max
Substantive analysis 5 page minimum.
