Now reflect on specific ways to ensure culturally competent practices with children and families.  Please react to the following questions:
What are educators and service providers ethical responsibilities?  Utilize NAEYC’s “Code of Ethical Conduct”.
How would you use the Beyond the Bake Sale checklist:  How Well is Your School Bridging Racial, Class, and Cultural Differences?” (pages 146-149).  Would you make any additions to the checklist?
Advocacy:  What connections do you see between culturally competent practices and advocacy for young children and families?
