Systems thinking begins with a mindset shift, as we started to explore with Berger. When we look at a certain issue, policy or problem through a systems thinking lens, we seek to understand how everything is interconnected, how related components work together to achieve something – like how different parts of an ecosystem work together to provide clean air.
Please write a few paragraphs describing what (1) systems thinking is, (2) how systems thinking relates to resilience as discussed in Chapter 2 of Rodin’s Resilience Dividend, and (3) compare/contrast systems thinking to one of the strategic planning and analysis frameworks we learned recently.
