As an artist it’s very important that you develop a habit of looking at lots of art, to become a better artist it is important to know what is come before what is happening now is no more true in photography. If you are pursuing a career as a commercial product photographer, Fashion photographer, or as a fine art photographer pursuing a gallery exhibition career.  This means doing research in areas of your specific interest. This is what I’m asking you to do for your midterm research paper. Pick a photographer working in a genre of your interests and write 825  words. You will need to cite the sources of your research. In addition to your writing portion of this assignment, we will be utilizing the ” peer review” function of Canvas. With this tool, Canvas will randomly forward your essay to another number of the class for them to read and give a short review, and likewise, you will receive someone’s essay to read and give a short review. If you find yourself at a loss for who to write about please meet with me in office hours or after class and I can make some suggestions that I think could be interesting to you. I will also make available a general list of some well-known fine art photographers that you may choose from.
