I begin the title of this assignment with the words Lady Eloise utters after she sees the unveiling commercial for Strang. Lady Eloise, played by Earth Kitt, was once the face of the perfume that is being reformulated and featured in the Strang commercial. There are office rumors that Marcus slept with Lady Eloise as a means of becoming the Director of Marketing(see the scene we viewed in Unit #1). Strang(played by Grace Jones), who is featured in the commercial, is the new face of the perfume. My borrowing of the words uttered by Lady Eloise during the Stranges unveiling commercial is purposeful. I want you to articulate what is ridiculous about the commercial. More specifically, we cannot ignore the many messages regarding gender and race in the tow commercials you see. I wont say much more as I do not want to do the work for you and your critical work is what you pick up on, what you write and how you present it. The first step in figuring out a solution is writing a memo and agenda. Whichever option you choose, make sure that you utilize the header as a way of identifying who you are(your name) and your position and who will receive the memo and agenda.
