For your second graded paper assignment choose ONE of the following topics:

1. Class Structure in Burnett’s A Little Princess. (by class structure I mean different social classes represented by the characters, their actions and settings in the novel)

2. Imagery and theme in Babbitt’s Tuck Everlasting.

All papers should relate the topic to important themes in the novel you choose. You will need to develop your own sharp thesis and strong pattern of organization.

Once again, NO outside research is allowed. I will check the papers for plagiarism and if I find elements in your paper that are not your own, I will fail the paper. (You will do research in your final paper due late in the semester.) Length 800 words.
