The object of this assignment is to take a written message and tailor it for use on different social media platforms. Fortunately, your message is already established. You will use the content that you have already written for your LinkedIn Article assignment as the basis for this one. That means that #3 on the list below is already complete.
Now, you will edit and customize your content to fit two other social media platforms, Facebook and Twitter. Think about what would work better and/or differently on the other platforms (e.g. video, hashtags, tags, etc.). Always think visually in terms of what image or visual aid will best suit your content and the platform.
Prepare your content on the topic you’ve chosen for these three different social media platforms:
1) Twitter (280 characters) – You can include a picture, hashtag and/or you can add a link for interest, which will take up characters also.
2) Facebook (250-300 words) – What video, photo or other coverage would interest your audience most? How will you update, cut or tweak the copy?
3) LinkedIn (300-500 words) – I have already completed this one. However Does anything need to change here?
Consider which words in the story should be used as hyperlinks and when hashtags would be appropriate.
