Reflective Writing Assignment

APA Style.
There are two sample assignments attached for you to review.
In this assignment, you will read, reflect and respond to an assigned reading, audio and/or video. THE ASSIGNED READING IS ARTICLE FROM THE GUARDIAN!! https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2019/jun/14/trans-mountain-pipeline-expansion-trudeau-indigenous-communities
Before you begin writing, read the article or website the instructor has assigned (CORE MATERIALS ARTICLE FROM THE GUARDIAN); listen to any additional audio or video.  Then write a response to your reading, using the following guide questions. Your response should be in paragraph format, 350-500 words in length.  Use appropriate grammar and word choice in your writing.  See rubric for details. View the sample reflective writing assignments to help guide your paragraph.

Here are the items that are expected in the reading:

Summary: Identify the main idea of the assigned reading; what evidence or explanation does the writer provide to support their ideas? Is the article reliable? How do you know? Use your own words. Provide APA in-text citations for any paraphrases.
Reflection: Identify and describe your own knowledge on this topic.  Where do your existing knowledge and observations come from?
Respect: Do you agree or disagree with the author’s argument? Give specific reasons for your ideas.
Realization: Consider in depth at least one of the theme-specific questions discussed in class and TRC Call to Action #92 as part of your reflection. Make connections between the assigned reading, the Call the Action, and your own existing ideas or assumptions. Identify any changes in your understanding, new approaches, or areas for further exploration.
