In 2019 The Economist  (Economist Intelligence Unit) drew much attention by downgrading the United States to a flawed democracy.  It is fair to classify the United States as a flawed democracy why or not? Provide examples

Question 2:

After the passage of the Voting Right Act, why did Voting Rights became a partisan issue?  Is there an event emblematic of this partisan turn? What complications arise when voting rights are a partisan issue?    Should the right to vote be viewed as a privilege or a fundamental right of citizens?

Question 3:

In the first presidential debate of 2020 President Trump stated “Proud Boys, stand back and stand by”  In addition, he encouraged his supporters to go into the polls and watch very carefully.”  What is the purpose of the call for poll watchers?  How have citizen poll watchers been used in the past in the United States?
