Questions to consider: What was the film about? Did the film accurately portray the historical evidence found in your research?

For your first course project, I want you to pick a film and conduct some research on the era the film depicts to get a better understanding of the background, time frame, issues, etc.
It should be between 3-5 pages using a film, research material (academic journals and/or newspaper articles), and cited.
1. Select a film that best represents New York history produced at least 20 years ago (no recent films).
2. Consider the time frame, the social, political or economical issues of the  piece.
3. Conduct research on the time frame it is based on (people, place, time, issues) by looking up articles, journals, etc (cite your sources).
