For the Reading Journal (RJ) on Born a Crime, think about:

PlotThe events Trevor Noah describes
SettingThe world Trevor grows up in, the physical locations as well as the Apartheid conditions he describes .
ConflictWhat sorts of conflict (internal and/or external) do you see in the reading? What is Trevor’s relationship with his mother like?
CharacterHow do all of these factors affect Trevor’s character over the course of the reading? What kind of person is Trevor? What is his mother like?

In  1-2 typed pages, double-space, in a 12-pt font, and titled (eg. RJ #1: Noahs Early Years), write an analysis of the reading. Discuss the key factors above and anything else that stands out to you. Cite specific examples from the text, indicating that you have read all three chapters each week.
