Thoughtful responses to both classmate

1st classmate-

1st What are your expectations and what are your concerns?

2nd      In approaching a long-term task, some persons will tend to break it into smaller pieces completed in short chunks of time while others prefer to tackle larger pieces in longer sittings. What do you think will work best for you in this class and why?

3rd        What initial time management plan will you try to implement (realizing that you may tinker with this as the class moves along.)

4th      Are you an active learner?

My expectations for this course is review and refresh on basic math skills. This is a course requirement for my bachelors and I do not have any concerns about it. For my preference, I do not function well in long sittings. I have better outcomes working in on one assignment at a time. My time management for this class is to long in every morning and do a little bit at a time. I’m am enrolled in another class so I spend time in each equally. I am not an active learner. If I need help, I will find the answers or suggestions through research. I don’t usually tend to seek help from my professors unless I absolutely need it and can’t find it through other sources.

I expect to be challenged.  My main concern is managing my time so I will not fall behind.

I like to write. I have written some good essays and short stories by just working straight through for hours at a time.  For this math class, I will need to take the opposite approach.  In order to be successful (and to keep my sanity) working on a little every day will be best.

3rd        What initial time management plan will you try to implement (realizing that you may tinker with this as the class moves along.)

I plan to work for an hour or so on days I have to work at my full time job.  Then I can put in longer stretches of time on my days off as needed.

Yes, I am an active learner.  I know math is not my strongest subject, so I will ask for and take all the help I can get.
