For this assignment, students will select a program to assess, learn the background of the program and perform a short readiness assessment. Before planning to collect any data, it is necessary to first determine the facts of the program, the logic by which it works, and whether it is even able to be assessed. Once that is done, it is important to determine what it is the stakeholder is looking for in an evaluation and the basic evaluation design that would be most appropriate to meet that need.
NOTE: For question number 2, you are asked about what the stakeholder is asking for. For this section, you can make up a plausible scenario. For example, once you’ve chosen an organization, you can imagine or make up what type of evaluation they are asking for. It should be realistic, but obviously you’re not going to be communicating with an organization for this project. This will inform much of the work you do later in this class.
In your own word document, you will answer the specific prompts in the attached worksheet. Each answer should be clear and complete, while also being concise. Any information coming from another source must be accompanied by a proper APA citation. You should use the numbered questions as headings. Whether you choose to use the sub-list questions as sub-headings or not, all of those elements must be present in your response.
Your submission will be assessed on the clarity of your responses, whether they are complete, the quality of your writing, and your use of proper APA citations.
