In this 6-8 page essay, the student will provide a critical review of James D. Hunter’s To Change the World and articulate his or her own beliefs about appropriate Christian engagement with contemporary politics. First, summarize the main contours of the author’s argument. (This should take no more than two pages.) Next, assess the strengths and weaknesses of the book. Finally, offer your own vision of appropriate Christian engagement with culture using the vocabulary and theological resources that we have discussed throughout the semester.
