Readings

In Hutchinson, Chapter 9, "Social Institutions and Social Structure" pages 325–329. This part of the book discusses trends in the education institution. Pay attention to how these trends perpetuate societal inequalities.

Choose one educational policy or piece of legislation (for example, No Child Left Behind), and discuss its current or potential impact on some of the major child and adolescent developmental domains. These domains include family, school, and community.
