Write a persuasive essay focusing on a specific music genre or artist. In your introduction, introduce the essay topic, and your thesis statement, which should present an idea that you aim others to agree with. In your body paragraphs, explain several reasons that develop and support your thesis statement, and respond to readers’ possible opposing viewpoints. Make sure to support all your body paragraphs with concrete evidence from specific sources related to the musical genre and artist, such as specific song lyrics. No academic sources are required. Explain how each piece of evidence you give supports your thesis or your response to readers’ opposing viewpoints. Finally, in your conclusion, bring your essay to a satisfying close.
Your essay must be at least three(3) full pages in length, typed and double spaced in 12 point Times New Roman font only. You are required to use proper MLA format anytime you reference a specific quotation or passage from the three academic articles assigned to the class–in other words, only the the three academic essays for in your body paragraphs, and you may use your personal experiences as well. Your page Margins must be 1-inch on all sides, and include your name, the instructor’s name, the name of the course, and the date in the top corner of the first page. Create an original and interesting title for your essay– no bland and boring titles.
