You may choose one of two styles: Exploratory: This style of paper should explore the topic, presenting different perspectives as a way of learning about the topic. You approach the subject with an open mind, and your paper covers what you learned about it. An example title might be: “Different Perspectives on Britain Leaving the European Union” Argumentative: In this style of paper, you make an argument; that is, you attempt to convince the reader of your point of view, using the evidence that you think will be most persuasive. An example title might be: “Why Brexit Will Be Disastrous for Britain’s Economy” In either style, your paper should be 500 to 1000 words, but the main thing is that it should be good. Make a coherent point. Follow your line of thought. I’m particularly interested in papers that relate some economic topic to the concepts and tools you have learned thus far in the course. You can earn up to 25 points for this assignment. You may do up to 4 different papers for a total of up to 100 extra credit points. An excellent paper will earn 25 points, while a poorly-done paper will earn far less, but all attempts will earn some points.
