Your book review will discuss Plain Folk in a Rich Man’s War: Class and Dissent in Confederate Georgia and should address, in roughly equal measure, both the book’s major points and what you learned from those points. In discussing the latter, you may address such questions as:
What impressions did you have of the Civil War South before reading this book? How have those impressions changed as a result of your reading?
What parts of the book did you find most interesting?
What parts of the book surprised you most?
Why do you think that the book’s emphasis is so rarely dealt with in general media? If the book’s main points were more widely understood, what impact would it have?
