Reaction Paper
Spring 2011
A 2-3 page reaction paper is due in Weeks 3, 5, and 7 in this course. Each paper is worth 10 points. Late papers will receive a reduced grade. No e-mailed papers will be accepted. All papers must be printed out, stapled and handed in during class time. The title page must include the name of the campus and the days and times the class meets.
Graded papers will be returned at the following class.
Each paper MUST contain the following:
A website URL or citation to an article that is related to one of the topics presented during class.
For example, in Week 1 we will be talking about the origin of legal systems. In Week 2, we will be talking about the Constitution. In week 3, you will hand in a 2-3 page paper that discusses an article on either topic. The reaction paper due in week five will be on a topic discussed in class during weeks 3 and 4, the reaction paper due in week 7 will be a bout a topic discussed in class during weeks 5 and 6
You will tell me what the article and or case is about (that is the summary)and then compare/contrast what you learned from the article with what we learned about in class. Please discuss whether you found the information helpful/useful or not and why not, for example, what else would you like to learn.
