You will produce an musicological based analysis of popular music song(s) using a range of critical frameworks to consider the application of, for example, melodic and harmonic relationships, progression, substitution, melodic contour, lyric setting, modal harmony, form and/or the idiomatic writing of the material studied.

This essay should be about Stevie Wonders album Songs in the key of Life.
In the first few paragraphs it should be mentioned briefly why this album was chosen (define musically what the album represents), talk about Stevies career – how was Stevie earlier in his music and how he evolved later in his career.
The main body should be about his songwriting techniques and focus on the Melodies, Harmonies, Lyrics and the form of the songs in this particular album as well as his unique keyboard solo techniques. Find similarities and analyse the music. There should be a comparison of his older songs to the ones in this album at some point.
