Project description
Please answer the following question in essay format
Should the United States Ratify the Comprehensive Nuclear Test Ban Treaty?
The United States remains one of the very few countries of the world that has refused to sign this treaty despite the fact that it was the U.S. that originally proposed such a treaty and for years pressured other countries to sign on. The basic idea was that by preventing testing of nuclear weapons you would limit their further development and, therefore, reduce the nuclear threat since countries would not likely risk using an untested weapon. Should the U.S. sign the convention treaty and why or why not?
